searching for the meaning of existence in the details of his memory, of his and our memories, the memories of a journey without end, and that like an old merry-go-round always comes back, fatally, to the same place on the same identical notes, the same images, the same vague and extraordinarily terse light of a morning when everything appears clear to us, perfectly explained, lucid, but then, after a moment we no longer know why we were so happy, but something of that happiness is left with us, a vague sensation, a dream, perhaps, an image printed on our retina and in our memory that cannot make up its mind to leave.
